Application of hydrogen gas detector in the industry

Hydrogen energy is considered a green energy source and is becoming a low-carbon and zero carbon energy source.

However, there may be a risk of H2 leakage in the production and application of hydrogen batteries. H2 leakage can reduce the performance of fuel cells, and H2 is a combustible gas that can cause significant hidden safety risks due to excessive deposition. Therefore, in order to detect hydrogen leakage, a hydrogen detector must be used.

The hydrogen detector responds quickly and accurately to hydrogen gas leakage. When hydrogen gas leakage occurs, it can alarm in a timely manner. It is the most commonly used gas detection instrument in the industrial field today. There are mainly three commonly used hydrogen gas detectors:

1. Online hydrogen detection alarm

The online hydrogen detection alarm consists of a gas detection alarm controller and a fixed hydrogen detector. The gas detection alarm controller can be placed in the monitoring room to monitor and control various monitoring points. The hydrogen detector is installed in the area where gas is most prone to leakage, and its core component is the gas sensor.

2. Portable hydrogen detector

The portable hydrogen gas detector can be carried around and can continuously detect the hydrogen concentration in the carrier's working environment. The hydrogen leakage detector is a natural diffusion method that uses imported electrochemical sensors with good sensitivity and repeatability; The hydrogen detector adopts an embedded microcontroller system, which is easy to operate, fully functional, and highly reliable.

3. Pumped hydrogen detector

The pump hydrogen detector adopts a built-in suction pump, which can quickly detect the hydrogen concentration in the working environment. The pumped hydrogen detector adopts imported electrochemical sensors, with a large LCD display and clear sound and light alarm reminders, ensuring the detection of hazardous gases in a low light working atmosphere and timely alerting of operators to prevent danger from occurring.

The hydrogen detector converts the hydrogen concentration detected by the sensor into an electrical signal and transmits it to the gas detection alarm controller through a cable. The higher the gas concentration, the higher the electrical signal. When the gas concentration reaches or exceeds the alarm point set by the alarm controller, the gas detection alarm controller sends an alarm signal, activates external chain equipment such as solenoid valves and exhaust fans, and automatically eliminates hidden dangers. Online hydrogen detection alarms are widely used in environments such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgical, power, coal mines, water plants, etc., effectively preventing explosion accidents.
