Classification and composition of electric soldering iron

1 external heat soldering iron
It consists of soldering iron tip, soldering iron core, shell, wooden handle, power lead, plug and other parts. Because the soldering iron head is installed inside the soldering iron core, it is called an external heating type electric soldering iron.

2 Internal heating electric soldering iron It consists of a handle, a connecting rod, a spring clip, a soldering iron core, and a soldering iron tip. Because the soldering iron core is installed inside the soldering iron head, it generates heat quickly and has a high heat utilization rate, so it is called an internal heating type electric soldering iron.

4 Tin-absorbing electric soldering iron is a desoldering tool that integrates piston-type tin-absorbing device and electric soldering iron.

Working principle of electric soldering iron
The electric soldering iron is a common welding tool for electrical and electronics, and its principle is similar to that of an electric iron. The electric soldering iron uses the heating core to energize the resistance wire to generate heat and then conduct it to the soldering iron tip, so that the temperature at the tip of the soldering iron tip reaches a certain value, and the solder is melted to solder the components. The large resistance of the resistance wire is different, so the power is also different.

Circuit iron use power selection
(1) When soldering integrated circuits, transistors and vulnerable components due to heat, 20W internal heating or 25W external heating electric soldering iron should be used.

(2) When welding wires and coaxial cables, use a 45W~75W external heating type electric soldering iron or a 50W internal heating type electric soldering iron first.

(3) When soldering larger components, such as the lead pins of the line output transformer, the lead pins of the large electrolytic capacitor, and the grounding pads of the metal chassis, an electric soldering iron with a power of more than 100W should be used.
How to use the soldering iron tip Before using the new soldering iron, polish the soldering iron tip with fine sandpaper, turn it on and heat it up, dip it in rosin, and touch the solder wire with the tip of the soldering iron tip to evenly coat the soldering iron tip with a layer of tin. The electric soldering iron should use 220V AC power supply, and special attention should be paid to safety when using it. The following points should be carefully done: It is best to use a three-pole plug for the electric soldering iron plug. Make sure the case is properly grounded. Before use, carefully check whether the power plug and power cord are damaged. And check whether the tip of the soldering iron is loose. Do not strike hard when the soldering iron is in use. To prevent falling. When there is too much solder on the tip of the soldering iron, wipe it off with a cloth. Do not throw it around, so as not to burn others. During the soldering process, the soldering iron cannot be left anywhere. When not soldering, it should be placed on the soldering iron stand. Note that the power cord cannot be placed on the tip of the soldering iron to prevent accidents caused by scalding the insulation layer. After use, the power should be cut off in time and the power plug should be pulled out. After cooling, put the soldering iron back into the toolbox.
