Detailed instructions for using an optical microscope and the steps for using an oil mirror!

(1) Access to microscopes
With one hand holding the mirror arm and the other holding the mirror holder, gently place the microscope on the table, about one thumb away from the edge of the table.

Adjust the chair to the appropriate height so that you can easily use the microscope.

Take 95% alcohol and lens wiping paper, wipe all lenses clean (※ Note: only wipe in a single straight direction).

Place the slide specimen steadily on the stage and clamp it tightly with the slide (※ Attention: Please confirm if it is clamped properly to avoid the slide jumping up, causing injury or damage to the microscope lens).

(2) The use of low magnification mirrors
First, lower the stage to the lowest point and rotate the rotating nose piece to position the low magnification mirror directly below the barrel.

Turn on the light source, adjust the light source adjustment knob and Iris aperture to adjust the brightness in the field of view appropriately.

Place the glass slide to be observed on the stage, clamp it in place, and rotate the mechanical stage control knobs to adjust the position of the glass slide. Rotate the adjustment knob until the low magnification mirror is approximately 0.1 cm away from the stage (or the stage cannot be raised again).

Observe through the eyepiece and slowly rotate the adjustment knob in the direction towards oneself to lower the stage until the image is clear. If the field of view is too bright or too dark, you can adjust the light source adjustment knob and Iris diaphragm to make the brightness in the field of view appropriate
.

(3) The use of high-power mirrors
First, use a low magnification lens to locate the target you want to observe and adjust the area to the center of your field of view.

(4) The use of oil mirrors
First, use a high-power lens to find the target you want to observe and adjust the area to the center of your field of view.

Turn the high-power lens away, add a small drop of immersion oil to the glass slide within the visible image range (i.e. the area illuminated by light), replace it with a 100x oil immersion objective, carefully immerse the oil lens in the oil, readjust the aperture, and slowly rotate the adjustment knob until the image is clear.
