The glass casing is suitable for temperatures between 0-150oC and is generally not corroded except for hydrofluoric acid solution, but is prone to collision damage. What are the different uses of different materials for electrodes? 3. What is the lifespan of an electrode under normal use?
Generally, electrodes are used for six months to a year, depending on the operating conditions, and some may be used for one and a half to two years. Imported products may last for 3-5 years, but they are expensive!
How to protect the electrodes? (1) The glass film at the lower end of the glass electrode is prone to breakage and should not come into contact with hard objects. (2) When using for the first time, the spherical glass film should be soaked in distilled water for day and night. When not in use, it should also be soaked in distilled water to simplify the soaking procedure for the next use. (3) When measuring strong alkaline solutions, the operation should be carried out as soon as possible. After the measurement is completed, it should be washed with water immediately to prevent the alkaline solution from corroding the glass film. (4) The glass film must not be contaminated with oil. If this situation occurs, Gangfu should first immerse it in lees, then put it into ether or carbon tetrachloride, and then transfer it to alcohol. After that, rinse with water and immerse it in water. (5) The organic glass tube on the electrode plug has excellent insulation performance and should not come into contact with chemicals or oil stains.
