Use and maintenance of portable pH meter
1. Remove the electrode protective cap, align it with the instrument interface and rotate it clockwise until it is tight (do not use too much force), turn on the power switch, insert the electrode into the solution to be tested, and the instrument will display the pH value of the solution. If you want to lock the number, turn the switch to lock the reading. After the measurement, turn off the power, release the lock, remove the electrode, and put on the electrode protective cover (potassium chloride protection solution is installed in the protective cover).
2. Instrument standard of portable pH meter: the instrument has been calibrated before leaving the factory. When re-starting after long-term use and other situations that require calibration, it should be calibrated before measurement. For the calibration method, see "Four. Instrument Standards" in the manual.
3. When the instrument is restarted after being left unused for a long time, the glass bulb of the measuring electrode should be soaked in saturated potassium chloride solution for 1 hour. When soaking, the electrode should not be immersed in the solution too deeply (insert 2-3 cm), and the electrode connector should not be wet.
4. Maintenance
a) The measuring electrode should be cleaned with distilled water, and the electrode connector should not be wet when cleaning.
b) The connection part between the electrode and the instrument should be kept highly clean and dry. If there is any stain, it can be wiped off with 99% alcohol.
c) When the display of the instrument fades, please replace the battery. When installing a new battery, pay attention to the positive and negative poles of the electrodes (red is the positive pole).
