What are the applications of gas detectors in chemical plants?

The gas detector is the guarantee of the safety of the staff. Any environment with flammable gas, toxic and harmful gas should choose a gas detector for detection to ensure safety. In particular, it is more important to detect the flammable gas or toxic gas and vapor content in the chemical workplace or the air inside the equipment. The security can achieve the effect of danger warning through sound and light alarms. So what are the applications of gas detectors in chemical plants?

Gas detectors are mainly used in the following situations in chemical plants:

Maintenance test: After the equipment is repaired and replaced, it is more important to detect the residual harmful gas or liquid, especially before the fire.

Emergency detection: When abnormal conditions occur on the production site or accidents are handled, harmful gases or liquids should be detected for safety and sanitation.

Leak detection: Leakage detection and alarm for harmful gases or liquids in the equipment pipeline, and leak detection for equipment pipeline operation.

Tour inspection: during safety and sanitation inspection, harmful gas or liquid vapor should be detected.

Safety inspection: When workers enter the hazardous material isolation operation room, enter the sewer, cable trench or equipment for operation, they must detect harmful gases or liquid vapors.

What is the prerequisite for the gas detector to be pretreated?
High-temperature combustible and zirconia, which is a gas detector without pretreatment, high-temperature combustible, generally used to measure combustible gases in places of 400-600 degrees Celsius, zirconia is plug-in type, suitable for places above 100 degrees Celsius and below 800 degrees Celsius Measure oxygen. (plug-in)

There are also some situations that do not require pretreatment. First of all, if the pressure is strong, no pretreatment is required, and only a pressure reducing valve is installed. If the pressure is negative, no pretreatment is required, and only a pump is required.

Preprocessing is mainly applied in three situations:

1. Need to cool down (the above two gases are not used);

2. It needs to remove water (the humidity is extremely high, but it is not necessary if there are no small water droplets);

3. Dust removal.

In general, if the temperature is higher than 70 degrees Celsius and there are small water droplets on the surface, pretreatment is required. Electronic condensers for cooling, compressors for water removal, filters for dust removal, and sampling pumps cannot be used under vacuum. Everyone should pay attention to this.
