What are the main points for attention in the use of gas detector?

 

First, in order to detect the gas concentration, it is necessary to communicate the detector with the detection environment, so it is inevitable that all kinds of polluting gases and dust in the environment will enter the detector, and the damage to the working conditions of the detector is objective. The working environment of combustible gas detectors is relatively bad, and many of them are installed outdoors. Poor maintenance will lead to errors or non-detection of portable alarms. Therefore, regular cleaning and maintenance of combustible gas detector is an important work to prevent failure.


Grounding should be tested regularly. If the grounding fails to meet the standard requirements or is not grounded at all, the combustible gas detector will be vulnerable to electromagnetic interference and cause failure.


Secondly, when the gas detector is used by the gas alarm user, the resistivity of the platinum wire of the body alarm may change and make errors, and the user should also pay attention to preventing electromagnetic interference when using the combustible gas detector. The installation position, installation angle, protective measures and system wiring of the body alarm should be protected against electromagnetic interference. Users should pay attention to the factors that are easy to cause faults when using the combustible gas detector, such as dust, high temperature and humidity. When an exhaust fan is required to be installed in the field where the combustible gas alarm is installed, combustible gas detectors are arranged adjacent to each other, so that the leaked combustible materials will not be fully diffused to the vicinity of the combustible gas alarm, which will lead to the failure of timely detection and the loss of fighter planes. Users should also pay attention to avoid places where high temperature, high humidity, steam and lampblack can reach when using combustible gas detector. Do not place or hang objects on the detector. The installed combustible gas detector cannot move the position of the device at will. Users should try to choose products with replaceable sensor probes when using the body alarm, which is convenient for use.


Third, the irregular construction process will make the combustible gas detector detect faults during use. If the combustible gas detector is not located near the equipment which is easy to leak, or it is installed adjacent to the exhaust fan, the leaked combustible gas detector cannot fully diffuse to the vicinity of the combustible gas detector, so that the leakage danger cannot be detected by the combustible gas detector in time. If the combustible gas detector is not reliably grounded, it will not eliminate electromagnetic interference, which will definitely affect the voltage and lead to the failure of inaccurate detection data. Therefore, the combustible gas detector should be reliably grounded during construction. Combustible gas alarm and terminal are set in places where it is easy to be collided or flooded, resulting in open circuit or short circuit of electrical circuit. Welding must use non-corrosive flux, otherwise the corrosion at the joint will release or increase the line resistance, which will affect the normal detection. Do not drop or throw the detector to the ground. After the construction, debugging should be carried out to ensure that the body alarm is in normal working condition.


It is suggested that before all kinds of instruments are used, the standard gas used for instruments should be tested in response to ensure that the instruments really play a protective role. Combustible gas alarm and toxic gas alarm, like other analysis and detection instruments, are measured by relative comparison method: firstly, the instrument is calibrated with a zero gas and a gas with a standard concentration, and the standard curve is stored in the instrument. When measuring, the instrument compares the electrical signal generated by the gas concentration to be measured with the electrical signal with the standard concentration, and calculates the accurate gas concentration value. Therefore, it is necessary to zero the instrument at any time and calibrate the instrument frequently to ensure the accuracy of instrument measurement.
