What to pay attention to when preparing to use the gas detector

1. Before use
① Carefully read the instruction manual corresponding to the gas detector before operation, and be familiar with the performance and operation method of the machine.

② Check whether the battery power is sufficient. If the battery power is found to be low, replace the battery in time.

③ Check whether the air filter at the air inlet is blocked by debris, and the blockage needs to be cleaned or replaced.

④ During the self-inspection during the startup process, you should listen to whether the graded alarm, sound and light alarm, and vibration alarm are accurate. If they do not meet the requirements, the settings are not allowed to be used, and should be corrected immediately.

⑤ Press and hold the start button for three seconds to enter the self-inspection state when starting up, and observe whether the low and high alarm values set by the detector are accurate (CO detectors have a primary alarm of 50ppm and a secondary alarm of 100ppm; an oxygen detector has a primary alarm of 19.5%, a secondary alarm of 22%; a hydrogen sulfide detector has a primary alarm of 10 ppm and a secondary alarm of 15ppm). During the self-inspection during the startup process, you should listen to whether the graded alarm, sound and light alarm, and vibration alarm are accurate. If they do not meet the requirements, the settings are not allowed to be used, and should be corrected immediately.

⑥Observe whether the initial value is accurate after turning on the machine under fresh air conditions (the CO detector initially displays 0 ppm; the O2 detector initially displays 20.9%; the hydrogen sulfide detector initially displays 0 ppm).

2. During use
① When using the portable gas detector, it should be worn as close as possible to the mouth and nose, such as the front neckline of clothes, jacket pockets, etc. It is strictly forbidden to place the alarm in pockets and other places that are not easy to see, which will affect the detection value.

② Avoid collisions as much as possible during use, which may cause abnormal detection data.

③ Gas detector sensors and other components are precision components. Do not open the cover of the adjusted instrument casually. During use, pay attention to waterproof and impurities to prevent abnormal data.

④When in use, if there are abnormal situations such as continuous flashing of the indicator light, no numerical display on the display screen, no action in the area where the gas exceeds the standard, or a large gap, etc., the operation should be stopped immediately, and the problem should be evacuated to a fresh air area to observe and eliminate it in time, otherwise it is strictly forbidden to continue to use.

⑤ When various gas detection exceeds the standard, the operation shall implement the national and company regulations:

Concentration and operation time requirements for gas field operations (excluding confined spaces):

When the concentration of CO in the air is 24ppm, it can work normally;

When the concentration of CO in the air is 40ppm, it can work for 1 hour;

When the concentration of CO in the air is 80ppm, it can work for half an hour;

When the concentration of CO in the air is 160ppm, it is only allowed to work for 15-20 minutes, and the interval between each work is 2 hours.

Oxygen operation: the ambient oxygen content in the operating area shall not be lower than 19.5%, and the oxygen content in a limited space is generally 19.5% to 21%, and shall not exceed 23.5% in an oxygen-enriched environment.

Hydrogen sulfide work:
When the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is lower than 40ppm, you can wear a filter gas mask to work, and mark the applicable substances on the surface of the canister;

Positive pressure air respirators should be used when operating in areas where the concentration of hydrogen sulfide is greater than 40ppm or the concentration is unknown or the concentration of sulfur dioxide is higher than 2ppm;

It is strictly forbidden for anyone to enter the area that may contain hydrogen sulfide gas without wearing suitable protective equipment, and it is forbidden to remove the anti-virus equipment in the toxic area.

⑥ If dizziness, tinnitus, vertigo, nausea, etc. occur during operation, stop the operation immediately and evacuate to an area with fresh air (pay attention to the air flow direction and choose an upper air outlet).

3. After use
① After using the portable gas detector, press and hold the off button, the display will display a 5-second countdown, and the LCD will display "off" after the countdown ends, and then the instrument will have no display, and the instrument will shut down. It is strictly forbidden to directly deduct the battery to force shutdown.

② After the instrument is turned off, the dust attached to the surface should be cleaned up, and the equipment should be cleaned well.

③When the instrument does not work for a long time, it should be turned off and placed in a dry, dust-free environment that meets the storage temperature.

④The gas detector implements a special person management system to prevent the loss of the instrument due to loss and other situations, which will affect the normal use.
