What to do if the gas detector encounters improper operation method
If the gas detector is not used in the correct way, it may cause it to malfunction. Once a fault occurs, it may lead to inaccurate measurements and other results. In order to avoid this situation from affecting us, today I will mainly tell you about the common faults of gas detectors.
1. Improper user operation method:
During the use of the gas detector, the user installs the instrument near the air conditioner and heating equipment, which will cause cold and warm air to flow through the gas detector. At this time, the resistance of the platinum wire in the gas detector may change. When using a gas detector, it is also necessary to pay attention to anti-electromagnetic interference.
2. The installation process is not standardized:
During the installation of the instrument, non-standard methods were used to cause the gas detector to fail. If the gas detector is not installed correctly near the leaking gas, or is installed close to the exhaust fan, the leaked gas cannot be fully diffused to the vicinity of the gas detector, so that the leaked gas cannot be detected by the gas detector in time, and the dangerous situation cannot be detected by the flammable gas detector in time. If the gas detector and wiring ports are placed in places that are prone to collision or water ingress, it will easily lead to disconnection or short circuit of electrical circuits. Non-corrosive flux should be used when welding the instrument, otherwise the joints will be corroded and disconnected or the line resistance will be increased, which will affect the normal structure. After the installation is completed, use the instrument for debugging to ensure that the gas detector is in normal working condition.
3. Maintenance:
If a gas detector is used to measure the gas concentration, the gas detector must be used correctly in the environment. Since there will be various polluting gases and some accumulated dust entering the instrument in the environment, some of the current gas detectors are used outdoors for methane detection. If the instrument is not maintained during use, it may cause errors or non-detection in the measurement of the gas detector.
